High Tension Boy - Epäsuoratoisto: an audiovisual performance at Ääniaalto 2020.

Epäsuoratoisto captures the real-time television broadcast and distorts the image and sound into a hypnotic wall of sound and stream of images. The analog image signal is processed with found video mixers and self-built video effects and synthesizers. The real-time audio signal is chopped into microscopic parts and reassembled into an unpredictable and wild texture.

High Tension Boy is an experimental audiovisual duo from Helsinki. It is an alias for Kristian Penttinen and Otso Havanto, allowing free and curious exploration into electric and digital signals traveling through found and obsolete equipment, building up and releasing tension, and finally transforming into photons and soundwaves.
